Time: 13:00 – 14:00 Geneva time

Attendance: Online event

Short description:

The objective of this webinar is to shed light on accessibility metadata. The publishing industry embeds accessibility metadata in e-books and other online publications to describe the features that facilitate the reading experience for people who are blind, have low vision, or are otherwise print-disabled.  Four speakers will share their perspectives on how accessibility is being defined in international e-publishing standards, how metadata is embedded in publications, how libraries are using metadata to improve service to their users that are print-disabled, and how these readers benefit from accessibility metadata.

The webinar is organized by the Accessible Book Consortium.
