Seminar on Practical Aspects of the Madrid System for Advanced Users

This English-language, hands-on masterclass will focus on a wide range of Madrid System processes and procedures, including filing international applications and managing registrations. You will have plenty of opportunities to exchange knowledge and ideas with other participants.

  • WIPO experts – together with Ms. Sanjukta Tole from Dickinson Wright LLP (Canada) – will present and moderate interactive sessions on selected topics, providing useful tips on:
    • filing and formality examination procedures at WIPO;
    • examination and refusal procedures in IP Offices of Madrid System members, including Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America; and
    • managing international registrations.
  • Each session will include case studies and group discussions on specific procedures and issues.
  • Ms. Christine Repond from Société des Produits Nestlé S.A. (Switzerland) will share her practical experience with the Madrid System.
  • You will get all the latest information on eMadrid – our new digital gateway to Madrid System online services.
  • You will receive a WIPO certificate upon completion of the seminar.

Who should attend?

This seminar is for experienced users of the Madrid System, i.e., IP professionals from private practices or in-house departments, holders, and representatives. (It is not suitable for staff from IP offices.)
