Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

Brief.

The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (2023-2024) is a non-degree, post-doctoral award program for junior and senior researchers, university lecturers, and experts from academic institutions who wish to conduct post-doctoral research, lecture, or pursue combined lecturing and research in the United States, fully funded by the US Department of State. The length of proposed lecture/research projects should not exceed 6 months and be less than 3 months.

The scholarship program is open to researchers, university professors, and experts in academic institutions.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Be citizens of Azerbaijan or permanent residents qualified to hold a valid Azerbaijani passport;
  • Currently work and reside in Azerbaijan;
  • Hold a Ph.D. in the defined fields or complete a Ph.D. degree before summer 2022;
  • be proficient in oral and written English;
  • receive a satisfactory medical clearance.

 

Program Funding:

  • International airfare cost for a return ticket;
  • Monthly stipend;
  • Settling-in allowance;
  • Health insurance.
